“Hold On, I’m Comin’” featured during NBA Finals in Michelob ULTRA ‘Worth It’ commercial featuring Los Angeles Lakers starter Anthony Davis, Miami Heat’s Jimmy Butler, and more

MIAMI, Fla. - The Legendary Soul Man Sam Moore turns 85, and is celebrated today and this week by many of his colleagues. Moore was initially set to be honored with an all-star tribute concert, but like many other planned events for 2020, the tribute has taken on a decidedly different form. Receiving videos from far and wide, Moore was surprised today through a virtual birthday greeting card and salute coordinated by Florida International University with messages from Jon Bon Jovi, T. Graham Brown, Rita Coolidge, Alice Cooper, Israel Del Toro, Zucchero Fornaciari, Janie Fricke, Lee Greenwood, Deana Martin, The Oak Ridge Boys, Charley Pride, Brenda Russell, Valerie Simpson, Sting, Travis Tritt, and many more! After an invitation-only Zoom gathering Monday evening, select videos will roll out to Moore’s Facebook page as well as his official website, sammoore.net.

Moore, one-half of the award-winning Sam & Dave duo, made famous global R&B hits such as “Soul Man”, “Hold On, I’m Comin’”, “When Something Is Wrong With My Baby”, “I Thank You” and more, and came to be known as ‘Double Dynamite’ for their dynamic performances.

Sam’s Still ‘Having A Ball’
“Hold On, I’m Comin’” was recently selected for Michelob ULTRA’s ‘Worth It’ ad featuring Los Angeles Lakers starter Anthony Davis, Miami Heat’s Jimmy Butler, and more, airing extensively during the NBA Finals. Watch the ad here.

Additionally, Moore is set to honor his good friend, the legendary songwriter/producer Isaac Hayes during ‘Great Performances: GRAMMY Salute To Music Legends®’ Friday, October 16th at 9 p.m. ET/PT on PBS (check local listings), pbs.org/gperf, and the PBS Video app. Additional honorees include Chicago, Roberta Flack, Iggy Pop, John Prine, Public Enemy, and more with performances from Philip Bailey, Brandi Carlile, Cynthia Erivo, Chris Isaak, Jason Isbell & Amanda Shires, Cyndi Lauper, Leslie Odom, Jr., and Yola.

Moore has never been one to slow down and has been hard at work readying new projects that will be unveiled in the coming weeks.

About The Legendary Soul Man™ Sam Moore:
The first 20-plus years of Sam Moore’s sensational career began by lending his unmistakable lead vocals to soul duo Sam & Dave. NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Country music favorite and host of SiriusXM’s LIVE WIRE show, T. “This project is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time,” explains Brown. “There is a special vibe that you feel when it’s just a vocal and guitar. The lyrics are more present. It reminds me of why I recorded these songs in the first place. I hope y’all enjoy this record as much as I did making it.”

Bare Bones is the latest project from T. Graham Brown for Time Life, which reissued five of his albums earlier this year including 'T. Graham Brown Lives!' (which hadn’t been available in nearly 20 years), 'From a Stronger Place', 'The Next Right Thing', 'Christmas with T. All are currently available on major digital and streaming platforms.

Always

I’ve left myself for dead many years ago
I’d always thought this was it,
then I saw your face

Tell me tell me
What can I do
to stop the pain

I’ll always love you
No matter what happens

I feel your pain across the room
It’s ok to cry
Let it out let it out

Your feelings are so fresh and new
The ones I have grown used to

I’ll always love you
No matter what happens

And when I hear you scream
It reminds me
Of what I’ve kept inside

You have the secrets
of the world
locked inside of you

So much potential
it’s just the beginning

I speak and
you just stare at me

I can only hope
that this is love

I hold you close
And you cry into me

What a wonder you are
Evolving every day

I don’t want to let you go
We can run away

I’ll always love you
No matter what happens

An interview with whitman rinaldo

Band Name

Whitman Rinaldo

What first got you into music ?
My brother took guitar lessons and would show me what he learned every week. By the next week, he forgot it all and I had to teach him so he could be somewhat prepared at his lesson.

Who Inspired you to create music ?
Beatles, Zeppelin, Dire Straits

What kind of music do you make?
I'm a bit of a chameleon like the Beatles Abbey Road. Indie rock, reggae, punk, jazz, Americana -- I let my tunes take me around the world.

What is your creative process like?
I try to start with a verbal hook and compose something both familiar and daring simultaneously.

Who would you most like to collaborate with?
I'm on a soul kick right now, so Al Green. But I've always wanted to work with kd lang, Joss Stone, or Pink.

If you could go to an open show by any artist who would it be?
Mark Knopfler or Steve Hackett, Ringo's All Star Band

What is one message you would give to your fans ?
Peace, love and understanding

What is the most useless talent you have ?
Louis Armstrong imitations

Do you sing in the shower? which songs?
Freddie Mercury tunes

What would you be doing now if it wasn't music
My day gig, selling and fixing copiers

Where have you performed ? Favourite? Worst? Do you have any gigs coming up?
I like outdoor gigs, backyards, amphitheaters. I played in Mexico and Portugal once each. No gigs till 2021

How do you feel the internet has changed music ?
The pandemic has forced musicians to collaborate over Zoom, and websites like Kompoz. Before then, it was mostly a bad influence.

What is your favourite song to perform? *
Always love Mark Knopfler tunes

what famous musicians do you admire ?
Knopfler, Queen, Sting, Steve Hackett, The Chi-Lites

whats the worst trouble you have been in?
clean living...not much

A Broken Relationship

Who Inspired you to create music ?
Bruce Springsteen/ Dermot Kennedy

Dermot Kennedy

Mainly in my home town and surrounding towns. Best - my first live mic night. My worst - on my fourth live mic night- i walked out because the music system at the club woudn't work

How do you feel the internet has changed music ?
Good points are that it offers the artist more opportunities to be heard and grow their brand. On the negative side there are many dodgy promoters out there that take advantage of artists by offering fake streams, etc

Pop music has always been my favourite genre and I think my music falls into that category as well.

What is your creative process like?
